Our routes follow well-marked paths, country lanes, and historic trails. Daily distances vary by itinerary, but most walks are moderate and designed for travelers who enjoy being active. We walk at a comfortable pace with breaks, support, and guidance throughout the day.

What is included in the tour price?

Inclusions vary slightly by itinerary, but most tours include lodging, breakfasts, selected meals, luggage transport, expert guiding, ground transportation, and entrance fees for scheduled activities.

How large are the groups?

Group sizes are intentionally small to maintain a personal, intimate experience. Most tours operate with a minimum of 7 participants.

What kind of accommodations do you use?

We partner with charming, comfortable hotels, inns, and rural lodges chosen for their hospitality, character, and proximity to the walking routes.

Do you accommodate dietary needs or mobility considerations?

Yes. We regularly host travelers with dietary restrictions, special needs, or mobility considerations. We adapt each experience as much as possible to the people who join us.

How does luggage transport work?

Your main luggage is transported each day to your next accommodation. You only carry a small daypack with essentials.

What is your cancellation policy?

If Spanish Steps must cancel a tour, all payments made to us are refunded in full. If you cancel, written notice is required. Fees: more than 90 days before departure EUR 300; 60-89 days EUR 400; 30-59 days 50% of tour price; less than 30 days 100% (no refund).

What happens in case of unacceptable behavior?

We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a trip if their behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate. This is always a last resort.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

We recommend comfortable walking shoes, layered clothing, a small daypack, rain gear, a refillable water bottle, and personal medications. A detailed packing list is provided after registration.
