Porto to Baiona along the Atlantic
Walk the Portuguese Coastal Camino from Porto to Baiona, following the Atlantic north from Portugal into Galicia.
This journey begins in Porto, a city of tiled façades, river views, bridges, wine, and warm Portuguese life.
From there, we walk beside the sea through fishing towns, boardwalks, dunes, beaches, river mouths, seaside villages, and historic ports shaped by salt air and centuries of travel.
The Atlantic is our companion almost every day, bringing open horizons, fresh seafood, maritime history, and the simple pleasure of walking north by the ocean.
This is a complete coastal Camino in its own right. It stays beautifully close to the sea from Porto to Baiona and ends in one of the most elegant towns on the Galician coast, with a final night at the historic Parador de Baiona.
For travelers who would like to experience the full Portuguese Coastal Camino but cannot take 17 days at once, this tour is also a perfect first chapter.
You can walk from Porto to Baiona now, then return another time for our Baiona to Santiago Camino, a similar length journey that completes the route. It is also a wonderful choice for those who have already walked from Baiona (before Vigo) to Santiago and now want to discover the magnificent coastal beginning from Porto.
