The Via Francigena

Tour Description Dates Euros
Siena to Rome

All roads lead to Rome, but only one of them is La Via Francigena, a legendary Roman road traced by Julius Cesar in the year 58 BC. On this epic journey you will follow back roads and trails from Siena, in the hills of Tuscany, to Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican City (Rome).

The Via Francigena, together with the Camino de Santiago in Spain, became the backbone of the ancient road system of Western Europe throughout the middle-ages. This journey is 15 days in length, with an option of a shorter version ending in Viterbo 9 days later.
