In 2011, Spanish Steps will be offering for the first time, a different route along the Camino de Santiago. Join us on the ancient pilgrimage trail, El Camino Primativo by following in the footsteps of pilgrims who set out in the 9th century from the cathedral of San Salvador in Oviedo to the Roman city of Lugo in Galicia. We trek 200 kilometers along backcountry roads, through chestnut forests, over mountain passes where we finally reach our destination – the ancient Roman city of Lugo.
The Camino Primativo is one of our most challenging guided Camino trips so be sure you’re walking a lot in preparation for this exciting new journey. 12-days of glorious hiking with 11-nights of carefully selected accommodations, visits to historical sites, and off-the-Camino side trips are all part of this multicultural journey. All breakfasts, 6 lunches and 6 dinners, including the local wines are also part of this tour. |
