Roncesvalles to Santiago de Compostela This is our classic tour of the Camino de Santiago commencing on the border of France in the Pyrenean village of Roncesvalles and travelling the 750-kilometers to Santiago de Compostela. As pilgrims, we intend to cover 120-miles over a 14-day walking period while exploring stone villages, monasteries and cathedrals. In Roncesvalles, we are blessed as pilgrims were 1000 years ago by the monks at the monastery as we partake in the special evening mass. Upon our arrival in Santiago, we celebrate our achievement in the center of the plaza at Kilometer "0" with an international group of pilgrims who have shared this long distant footpath with us. As pilgrims, we will receive the official Compostela pilgrims' diploma by walking every step from the 100 kilometer point. This is a fully van supported walking tour. Group is limited to 14. 14-days of glorious hiking with 13-nights of carefully selected accommodations, visits to historical sites with professional art historians and off-the-Camino side trips are all part of this multicultural experience. All breakfasts, 8 lunches and 9 dinners, including the local wines are also part of this tour.
